BioThis is the journal of 5 pets living in the same house. There are 3 cats: Benji, Saber, and Nike, and 2 dogs: Dutch and Cammi. Learn a bit about each of us below.

Name: Nike

Nicknames: Nikster, Nikums
Age/DOB: My exact date of birth is unknown, and I have been in this house so long that they don't remember my exact age. I am around 14 years old!
Likes: Kitty treats, sitting on peoples laps whenever I please, going outside, being pet
Dislikes: When the annoying dogs go near me, or the other cats bother me.
I've been here the longest of any other current pets. I am quite old, and the family got me when I was a kitten from the Humane Society. I am a lot more friendly in my older years than I was when I was younger. I am the only declawed cat out of the 3 of us, but don't worry, I can still scratch you with my back claws.

Age/DOB: 7/September of 1997
Breed: Long-haired miniature dachshund
Likes: Being the center of attention, going for car rides, walks, stealing toys from Dutch, bothering the other animals, cuddling up, being pampered, having my belly scratched, licking everything in site, barking.
Dislikes: Being picked up when I don't feel like it, going outside when I don't feel like it, when Dutch has something that should be mine.
I was a Christmas present to my mommy (Steph) 6 years ago, although I am more of a family dog, since everyone loves me. I sleep in bed with mom and dad (Steph's mom and dad) every night, and can be found curled up in other comfortable places all the time.

Likes: Being the center of attention, treats, panting, barking, sitting outside when the weather isn't too hot, running, going for car rides, walks, being pet, playing.
Dislikes: Really hot weather, when Cammi takes things away from me.
The family got me after their dog Gretzky passed away when Cammi was just a puppy. They got me from the pet store at the mall. I bother them a lot with my incessant barking, but when it coems down to it I am just a sweet, somewhat slow, loving dog. Sometimes I may look scary, but I would never hurt anyone, unless they were hurting my family.
Saber

Age/DOB: 4/January of 1999
Likes: Going outside, hunting, having my chin scratched, laying in the middle of the floor.

The family got me when their oldest cat died a few years ago. They adopted me and my brother, Dexter, from the Humane Society as kittens. Sadly, about a year later, Dexter ran away. I've been able to manage since. In my time here I have become increasingly more friendly, although I still get scared by sudden movements. I love to have my chin and chest scratched, and when I am feeling friendly I will sprawl out in the middle of the floor. I spent a lot of time outside, too, and like to leave dead critters on the porch for my loving family. I am a little bigger than the other cats, but I am certainly not fat.

Likes: Looking out the window, meowing at nothing, clawing the curtains, being perched somewhere high, following mommy around.
Dislikes: The dogs, loud noises, the outside.
Mommy (Steph) adopted me from the Humane Society a year and a half ago. At the time she was a volunteer and wanted to help one of the many cats that was there. She took me home and I am very happy here. As time has gone on, I have been able to tolerate the dogs and other cats sometimes, but other times I don't like them sniffing me. I like the cats for the most part, but the dogs are too annoying. I am a lap cat, but more recently I just like sitting near mommy instead of on her lap. Sometimes when I get bored I will follow her around, or meow loudly at nothing and drive her crazy. I am always searching the house for new places to sit, and I love to sit perched at a window and look at all the stuff outside. Inside, I like to be pest control and kill any ants or spiders I see. I am the only indoor cat out of the 3 of us.
The 5 of us pets may refer to the same people as different things. To Dutch, Saber, and Nike, Steph is referred to simply as Steph, while to Benji and Cammi, Steph is referred to as mommy. Don't worry, she is the same person. Also in the house are mom and dad, who are the mom and dad of the house and will commonly be referred to as mom and dad. Also are Jackie and Dan, and every now and then when he is visiting, Chris. Jackie, Steph, Dan, and Chris, are all siblings.
